My beautiful home of Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach!
About Me…
My name is Danny Pierce, and I am a graduate of California State University of Long Beach. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts and Tech Theatre, and I work to achieve and learn the building and creation aspects in the world of entertainment. My passion is building and creating decorations, props, sets, and building the different worlds that each story resides in. This is my passion, and I thoroughly practice and strive to get better and to learn all that I can about the entertainment industry, and to gain the wisdom and knowledge from those who are willing to teach me. My goal is to keep learning all that I can in ALL technical aspects of the entertainment industry, and to push myself even further to be the best that I can be.
I have experience working backstage, building set designs, acquiring and building props as a propmaster, drafting 2D and 3D sketches and designs of said props or sets, as well as extensive carpentry, welding, workshop, computer, lighting and sound engineering knowledge. I have made props for Cuesta College’s production of Don Quixoté that has gone to the National Awards Ceremony and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., and have received the award for Best Props. I love to work in the workshop, especially with wood and metal, and to learn from colleagues on how to create new things. I also love music, and have been playing many percussion instruments, especially the bass drum, snare drum, and drum set, as well as how to maintain these instruments. When I have downtime, I like being with friends and having fun at the beach or the park, or playing games at home with my girlfriend and our golden retriever.
Thank you everyone for all your support!
